This portrait session with Kristina at Balboa Park was completely spontaneous — and it unexpectedly became one of my favorite shoots I’ve ever done there. Everything came together so naturally: the light, the calm pace, and Kristina’s effortless, confident energy.
It was photographed in 2019, and looking back now I can’t help but think: the trees really were taller and greener back then. Since that day, I’ve photographed at Balboa Park many times, but I haven’t seen the greenery look quite as lush again — sadly. And yes, parking was free then, too.
